Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect from our business customers and website visitors, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

We sell to businesses. Most personal information we hold relates to people acting for a company: names, work emails, phone numbers and job titles.

1. Who we are

Digital Place Solution operates digitalplacesolution.com and supplies and installs digital display equipment to business customers. We act as the data controller for the personal information described here. We are based in the United States, and our approach follows applicable US federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies.

2. What we collect

  • Contact details: name, job title, company, work email, phone number and business address.
  • Enquiry and project information: screen type, quantity, site location, budget, timelines and any message or files you send.
  • Order and billing records: quotes, invoices, delivery addresses, payment confirmations and tax details.
  • Installation records: site access contacts, survey photos and commissioning reports.
  • Technical data: browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location from IP address, collected through standard server logs.
  • Correspondence: emails, calls and messages with our sales and support teams.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • To process orders, arrange delivery and installation, and provide warranty and support.
  • To invoice, collect payment and keep financial records.
  • To keep the website secure and understand how it is used.
  • To send product updates and offers to business contacts, where you have not opted out.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory duties.

4. Lawful basis

We process personal information where it is necessary to perform or prepare a contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest that is not outweighed by your rights (for example, running and securing a B2B sales operation), where the law requires it, or where you have given consent. When we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Who we share with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with:

  • Manufacturers and suppliers, to register warranties and fulfil orders.
  • Couriers, freight forwarders and installation subcontractors.
  • Payment, banking and accounting providers.
  • IT, hosting and email service providers that process data on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, courts and law enforcement where required by law.

Service providers must protect the information and use it only for the purpose we give them.

6. International transfers

Many equipment manufacturers and some service providers operate outside the United States. Where we transfer personal information abroad, we take steps to make sure it receives an adequate level of protection, such as contractual safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. As a guide: enquiries that do not lead to an order for up to 24 months; order, tax and accounting records for at least 6 years; warranty and installation records for the life of the warranty plus 12 months. We then delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting and staff confidentiality obligations to protect personal information. No system is completely secure. If a breach is likely to harm you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Subject to the law, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete information we no longer need.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Provide your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent you gave earlier.

Send requests to privacy@digitalplacesolution.com. We may need to verify your identity first and will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. You may also contact your state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission with a complaint.

10. Cookies

The website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to work and stay secure. If we add analytics or advertising cookies, we will say so here and ask for your consent where required. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended.

11. Children

Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will highlight significant changes on the website.
